Javed Hashmi was very vocal in the Parliament. He had got the war-cry going:” GO, MUSHARRAF,GO.”
Pakistan Army teaches right from the first day in its Military Academy that officers have to throw anonymous letters in the waste-paper basket; no action should be taken, whatever the contents of that letter. This army rule was considered necessary to assaults on someone by another characterless guy; who has no courage to write his full name, address and army number.
I have been roaming in GHQ Rawalpindi (since I was their number one living war hero and no.1 military writer.) I saw myself being ushered into the Chief’s office before the already waiting lt-generals.
This I know: a GHQ pad with GHQ crest lies in every table in GHQ. Now taking a page off and writing a letter in urdu–without the writer giving out his name and army number, was a trick of the trade of Gen. Musharraf . That letter went to a member of Parliament who showed it to Javed Hashmi. Javed Hashmi and I have been friends from 1968 onwards. I know him. He is a pedigree gentleman who gets elected even from sitting in jail.
Musharraf got hold of him and charged him with treason though the country was not in war. The Higher courts court take suo moto notice and call upon the army to observe its own laid down rules. But Musharraf knows no rules, even the retirement rule and taking-off uniform rule when in public office is ignored.
I would file for damages; Total Musharraf’s property or his going to jail for six years.
But we are looking at God’s interventions.
Thank you Supreme Court for releasing an innocent prisoner.

Pakistan Army obey orders but I think that its Generals must keep in view the Islam’s benefit. They must have known that if they will kill some innocent, they will be asked by Allah. Only to obey is very much good but in case of anti-Islam matters, they must think again and again. In Hadees Pak an annal is that when an “Ameer” of Sahaba’s party ordered them to enter in fire, they refused. When this matter was asked from Holy Prophet (PBUH), He said, if you enter the fire on his order then you could not come out till the Dooms day. So Obey order is only in the obedience of Allah and his Prophet (PBUH). To kill Muslims who want shelter is a very much crime. May Allah bless our country and show the right path to our Govt.
