I believe that boycott was, is and will be the best option for the elections.

Every body these days are saying we should accept “zamini haqaiq” about Pakistan and live with in what is given to us.

I say it is time that we stop doing that. We have to realize that we are standing at the critical juncture in the history of Pakistan. For how long we are going to accept being treated like slaves by Foreign Powers, Militar Dictators and our Political Leaders.

We have to tell all and sundry that we will no longer accept unlawfullness in our land. It is not them but the people of pakistan who will direct the course of Pakistan and what better way to declare it than to boycott the elections which would have been a big slap in the face of the Conspirators rather than facilitating their Plans. We should stop the politics of compromise and start doing the politics of Pakistan.

Now I believe the elections are going to be rigged. Nawaz Sharif is proclaiming it is a referendum for the honorable Chief Justice against the Military Dictator. But if Nawaz Sharif does not win more than 50 seats in the elections does it means that the people of Pakistan have voted against the Chief Justice?. Boycotting the election would have told the establishment that we dont believe that you will conduct a free & fair elections. I believe the judges were removed not because they were going to give decision against Musharraf but they were going to stop the rigging in the elections by supervising a free & fair elections. How will Nawaz Sharif or Benazir Bhutto go back to the same people they asked to vote and ask them again to start a movement once the results are not as favourable as they hoped for?

Here is my Prediction and you can take it to the Bank. After the elections are thoroughly rigged, we will inshallah see a 3rd Charter of Demands put forward by our favourite couple Mr Nawaz Sharif and Mrs Benazir Bhutto

Least but not the last most of our Political Parties are based on dictatorships starting from Muslim League to Peoples Party. Its either them or their brothers or their sons or their husbands or their wives you get the point so how can they promote true democracy in a country when even in their own party none exists. Which political party wants free judiciary, free media. Name me one party taking part in the current elections which has shown in its previous tenure that they want free Media and Judiciary? And not to forget how can they abandon their warm seats in National Assembly and the status quo that comes with it. So being part of the same school of thought and not wanting free media and judiciary how can they truly support the cause. Last time it was different they saw it as an opportunity to make Musharraf unstable which they accomplished with the help of Lawyers Moment. Now they can see the Mirage of “Iqtedaar” at the end of the tunnel. Free media and Judiciary is not suitable for both Peoples Party and Muslim League. My friend Fraz is right Boycott for them was never an option.

Among all the Political Leaders, I was most disappointed by what Nawaz Sharif did. He should have been clear from the start i.e will he take part in the election or not. The moment he landed in Pakistan, the first words that came out of his mouth were BOYCOTT and then later on changed his stance. He has hurt the cause of Boycott more than any body in the opposition. He has its own reasons for taking part in the elections and maybe they are right. But if that was the case then he should have been clear about his stance from the beginning.

In the end its up to you to decide which is the best way to go? Boycott or Elections
My vote: Boycott

Muneeb

Did it result in any thing? unfortunately again the army was able to hide this report for almost 30 years. None of the culprits mentioned in this report were punished.

When will we change? When will these culprits be punished? When will we rise against the attrocities of Pakistan Army Generals against their own public. We love our Army, but like others they should be held accountables for their actions. Until we do that we will continue to be ruled by these corrupt Generals.

Welcome to the moderate world of Musharraf. Indeed in the last few years Pakistan have progressed a lot towards the “Moderate Pakistan” vision of our great Leader General Musharraf.

When I came to USA 5 years ago, Musharraf just started implementing his vision of “Moderate Pakistan”. Well with in 8 years of his rule results are overwhelming in his favor.Pakistan has achieved the distinction of being the best country in the world with the highest percentage of searches for keyword “Sex” as compared to total searches. You can see this achievement first hand by clicking on the link below (we are so far ahead, that is virtually no competition).

http://www.google.com/trends?q=sex&ctab=1&sa=N

But unfortunately I don’t consider this as a total success, because despite the full efforts of the Government, Pakistan unfortunately still comes up 3rd for search percentage of keyword “Islam”

http://www.google.com/trends?q=islam&ctab=1&sa=N After seeing the results achieved in his vision, I can truly proclaim that Musharraf must have had the same or even more fruitful results in other sectors of his governance. He can add my vote to Pervez Elahi vote of “Electing Musharraf President in uniform as many times as he wants“PS: May be i am overreacting to this trend, but shouldn’t “Moderate Pakistan” means less obsession of our young men and women with sex as there is no real shortage of it any more in Pakistan.

Mubarik Ho Pakistan kai Basion Mubarik Ho

Once more our leaders have established that it is not up to us to determine the fate of Pakistan as we despite being progressing at a so called record pace in the past 8 years, still haven’t accumulated enough wisdom to make a solid decision when in comes to electing our ruler.

This again is the right of the higher powers sitting in Presidential House, Dubai, White House and Palaces in the Kingdom. Who are we to have a say in who rules Pakistan. We should be ashamed that we even thought about deciding our fate through fair and free elections.

Does the contents of the deal between Musharraf and Benazir Bhutto and the circumstances which led to it really matter? what matters to me is what will be the reaction of citizens of Pakistan. Will we sit and let USA, UK and other countries to continue muddling with the affairs of Pakistan.

No ill feelings for Saudi Arabia and UAE, they are our fellow Muslim Countries which have helped us a lot but shouldn’t they be dealing with their own countries rather deciding the fate of our country. And do I need to say anything about the muddling nature of USA and UK.

Some will say oh its for the betterment of Pakistan. A Mainstream party leader is coming back. But is she coming back to serve Pakistan?. Her record speaks for that. Her main intentions on agreeing to the deal is not to save Pakistan but to sit on the chair of Prime Ministership. Along with that Government will dismiss the cases against her, specially the Sweden one, hanging over her political career like an axe. If her intentions was sincere, she should have joined the struggle of Pakistani people against the army rule not conspire to save the dictator even in a civil suit. You don’t need to be the Prime Minister to serve your country, Sonia Gandhi is an prime example of that.

And Musharraf, the current Dictator of Pakistan, after spending the entirety of his rule calling her a Corrupt Leader, joined hands with her to extend his rule. Well Uturns a norm for him. First on Afghanistan Policy, then on MQM and now this, so it is not unexpected as he has a history of doing every thing deem necessary to extend his rule.

I would have had no objection if PPP had come to Power after a free and fair election, but conspiring with USA to get to power and striking deals with Dictator is not what I expected from the Daughter of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto. It is a good thing he is dead.

If we the citizens of Pakistan did not rise to stop what the ELITE have forced upon us, then what ever comes next we deserve it. We are standing at a very delicate point in the history of pakistan and our actions will go a long way in strengthening Pakistan or weakening it to a point of no repair.

We cant let USA, UK and other countries decide what is best for us. By voting for PPP we will indirectly be completing their plans which they have made for Pakistan. They want PPP and Musharraf to rule Pakistan even before we were to decide our ruler in the coming elections. We can let USA fulfill its plans, only if we believe so this is what right for pakistan.

We have a habit of complaining about everything, and yet doing nothing to avoid what is forced upon us. Should we still vote for Benazir Bhutto just because she is the daughter of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto? No our vote for BB should be based upon her credentials not her father achievements. We have to ask ourselves a questions, does she has the characteristics of her great father, is she sincere to Pakistan and to its citizens , what about her past government experiences. And then come to our decision.

I on the other hand strongly believe that PPP government will show little if any resistance to USA dictation. By agreeing to deal with Musharraf, BB has already obliged USA against the wishes of Pakistani People, should Benazir Bhutto government be any different than Musharraf Government. And any ways with Musharraf as President and BB as Prime Minister there will be hardly any change in the current Policies of Pakistan. The government actions will still be dictated by USA. It will be Musharraf and Benazir instead of Musharraf and Shujaat. Do we want change of faces or change or our tactics?

I strongly urge every body to come out of their houses on election day and vote. But Please don’t vote for any body until you feel that he or the party he belongs to is right for Pakistan, they will remain true to our nation wishes. Who will do things that will set Pakistan in the right direction. Who will not take dictation from any body. Their policies will be for the good of Pakistan not for USA. Bring an end to the injustice prevailing in Pakistan. Rid us of illiteracy, poverty and other problems. There has to be a person or one party alteast that you think posses these features. If not then vote for the one that comes closest to above requirements. Pakistan needs your vote so Please dont waste it.

Don’t think about your self, think what is Good for Pakistan. The party that you vote for need not be a Political force, but after you have voted, you should be able to look into the mirror and feel proud that you did what you thought was right for Pakistan. Pakistan deserves this from us its citizens, otherwise history will never forgive us . This is the least that you can do for your homeland.

I end this with a very famous quote from John F Kennedy

“Ask not what your country can do for you: Ask what you can do
for your country“

And your Country asks for your vote.
